Hoopers
Hoopers is a real dog sport that is actually relatively young and originally founded in America as a part of Agility. It was developed from the idea that some dogs cannot participate in Agility, because they are too old, too young or physically limited. So this is a sport where you really work together with your dog!
Hoopers involves the dog running a course in a flowing line, in which the parcours itself consists of hoops, tunnels, and barrels, and can be set up with lots of variety. The dogs must run the course independently based on voice and body commands, so in Hoopers, the owner is not supposed to walk beside the dog. The owner stays in a certain area. This makes it extra challenging!
